Day 1
Visit of Colombo - Negombo
Arrival at Colombo International Airport where you will be met by a representative of our local agency and taken to your hotel.
In the afternoon you will visit the city of Colombo, the economic capital of Sri Lanka. You will then go on a canoe trip in Muthurajawela, the lagoon between Negombo and Colombo, before going back to the hotel.
Dinner and night at the Catamaran Beach Hotel (or similar).

Day 2
Negombo - Pinnawala - Dambulla
After breakfast you will head for the town of Pinnawala.
This place is renowned for its elephant orphanage. On arrival you will see the baby elephants have breakfast then have a bath in the river.
Early afternoon you will go to Dambulla to visit the cave-temple complex and see five richly-adorned caves. This is a World Heritage Site.
Dinner and night at the Sigiriya Hotel (or similar).

Day 3
Dambulla - Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa
After breakfast you will drive to Lion Rock in Sigiriya. After climbing the steps leading to the summit and admiring the views, you will visit a batik workshop to learn all about how these fabrics are made.
In the afternoon you can go on an elephant ride in Habarana before continuing to Polonnaruwa. You will have lunch with a local family to immerse yourself in Sri Lankan culture and culinary flavours. Once in Polonnaruwa you can visit the ancient city and stroll amid the rice paddies along the Parakrama Samudraya dam, an area strewn with historic and cultural sites.

Day 4
Polonnaruwa - Minnneriya - Matale - Kandy
Early morning you will go on an elephant-watching safari in .
You will then go to Kandy passing through small villages along the rice paddies. On the way you will visit Matale's famous spice garden where you can see lemongrass, cinnamon and many other spices. A free Ayurvedic face or head massage will be offered. Then free time for lunch.
Once in Kandy you'll have time to visit the city and admire the main monuments. In the evening, you will see a traditional dance and music performance and attend the evening ceremony at the Temple of the Tooth.

Day 5
Kandy - Peradeniya - Maussawa
In the morning, you will visitPeradeniya Botanic Gardens, the largest of their kind in Sri Lanka. These gardens are very peaceful and boast an exceptional vegetation such as rubber trees, “cannonball” trees and in particular a giant Java fig tree.
After this beautiful walk in Peradeniya Gardens you will head for the verdant hills to visit a tea plantation and a tea factory.
You will continue to the Maussawa Estate, which lies at the heart of Sri Lankan biodiversity. You can go for walks and meet the villagers. Don't miss the culinary tasting, where you can sample dishes made with home-grown organic products.

Day 6
Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
In the morning you will head for Nuwara Eliya and the seemingly-endless sweep of tea-covered hills. Several stops are scheduled, in particular at a tea factory where you can see the various tea manufacturing processes and enjoy a tea tasting.
Free time for lunch.
Once in Nuwara Eliya you can go on a discovery walk around town.

Day 7
Nuwara Eliya - Uda Walawe
In the morning you will take a tuk-tuk to Nanu Oya train station. Travelling on a local train is a genuine experience! On your journey you will have time to admire the gorgeous scenery of tea plantations and waterfalls. Once in Ohiya you can go for a stroll around the village. A driver will wait for you and take you to Uda Walawe.
Get settled at the hotel and late afternoon, you will go on a jeep safari in Uda Walawe National Park.
Dinner and night at the 4-star Grand Udawalawe Safari Resort (or similar).

Day 8
Uda Walawe - Colombo airport
Transfer to the airport after breakfast. If time allows you can visit Colombo on the way.
Flight to Malé from Colombo Airport.
Once in Malé, transfer to your hotel is by fast boat or seaplane.

Maldives
Seaside all-inclusive stay. You will spend three nights in the Maldives in a beachside bungalow.

Malé - Airport
Transfer to Malé Airport and flight back to France. Time may vary depending on your flight schedule.In-flight service.

The price includes :
- Airport transfers on arrival/departure and 24/7 assistance;
- Transport in an air-conditioned vehicle for airport transfers, for the tour itself and the visit of sites with an English-speaking driver guide. This is a private tour so you will be on your own (as a couple, a family or a group of friends, etc.) and your driver guide will escort you for the duration of your stay;
